Rain
Life at ODU can be different without electricity. the nor'easter took over the entire eastside and knocked out ODU's power. We had no light, no electricty, just nothing at all. Our hallmates played hide and go seek to kill time, we played card games and had some special bonding with old friends and continued to make new ones. other than the bonding life here was rough..Walking around with your cell phone light to guide you around the room, showering with flashlights, walking in the cold rain to get food, life wasn't easy at all. I never really noticed how unthankful i am for electricity. I took it for granted and i lived too long without it. This weekend was rough and i'm happy to have our power back, i'll never take it for granted.

paranormal night
last night my suitemates and i decided to see paranormal activity at macarthur mall. i really wanted to see this movie because it's supposedly the scariest thing ever made. i was excited to go see it but i really don't know how it would turn out. the story is about a couple living together, and the girl has had strange things happen to her while she sleeps. she feels something breathing on her neck, her and her boyfriend hear bangs in the house, they can hear scratch noises and sometimes voices. she claims these events have been happening to her since she was 8, and they continue to follow her. her boyfriend decides to get every single day and night on film to see what they can find....and it's terrifying. this movie had me jumping like crazy in the movies. it is by far the scariest movie i've ever seen and it has me shook. not gonna lie, i was scared last night when i was going to sleep, i ended up watching the notebook. if you want to get scared out of your mind, be my guest and see this movie, otherwise, beware of paranormal activity.

Civil Marriages
Civil marriage is a right every US citizen should have, but unfortunately not all Americans are guaranteed a civil marriage. Gays and lesbians have been fighting for an opportunity to let Gay marriage become legal in the states. On the positive side, a few states have legalized gay marriage but it has not become a unanimous decision yet. Gay marriage should be legalized in all 50 states to resolve this issue. Gay marriage won't affect or hurt anyone in our nation and I believe there is nothing wrong with it at all. I am a heterosexual male but that doesn't mean I can't support gay marriage. I've always thought that it was unfair for the government to be able to tell us who we can and can't marry, it's just annoying.
